Threes and MMT present IL PIANETA
14.10. – 14.10.21
Il Pianeta is a project that aims to reinterpret Ettore Sottsass 1972 iconic series “Pianeta come Festival “ through a series of visual, installative and performative interventions.  The new edition of Il Pianeta is part of “Visioni e Suoni della Città che Cambia”, a project curated by the associations Threes and MMT Creative Lab and supported by Fondazione CARIPLO, which aims to collect online and offline performative interventions that question the relationship between music, art and the urban dimension. The project aims to explore the physical, digital and social space of the city of Milan through a specific sonic research and investigation of the territory, exploring its boundaries and perceptions. The program of the new edition will take place between 14th and 17th October and will consist of different moments:  the inauguration at Spazio Maiocchi, a concert by Alvin Curran and Walter Prati and two sound walks with Soydivision collective curated by Standards and Artetetra. The launching event will take place on 14th October at Spazio Maiocchi in Milan and will present the work of the four artists who have been invited to re-interpret the homonymous project by Ettore Sottsass through a series of artworks and a soundscape. The commissioned works presented at Artifact feature the design and research-based studio FORMAFANTASMA, the video-artist REBECCA SALVADORI, the visual artist GIULIO SCALISI  and the producer and composer GRAND RIVER. The presentation event will also feature a special conversation and screening by the architect collective Possibility of an Island and the Italian debut of the British band Still House Plants. Supported by Fondazione Cariplo, Il Comune di Milano, SHAPE Platform & Creative Europe and Spazio Maiocchi. Produced by MMT Creative Lab and Threes. More info at ilpianeta.info
